Meet the Head of the School

A well-established educational leader, Dr. Smock has served the educational community for more than 30 years.  Known for his servant leadership style, Dr. Smock continues to encourage administrators, faculty members, school staff, and parents to see immense value in the greatest assets a community has, their children.  Mentoring others has been his career passion – developing future leaders for Christ’s Kingdom.

Dr. Smock earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 1995 with his dissertation in the area of integrating technology into school administration.  His Master of Education degree in Counseling was earned from Millersville State College in 1981.  His Bachelor of Science degree in Bible was obtained from Lancaster Bible College in 1978, with two minors; Christian education and Music.  These formal educational experiences gave him a strong background to remain a life-long learner, continuously growing in knowledge and understanding of education methodology.

Dr. Smock has served educational institutions as:  High School Math/Bible Teacher, Principal, Choral/Band Director, and Head of School/Administrator.   He also served other organizations as:  Counselor, Group Therapist, Minister of Music, Sales Trainer, Seminar Leader, and Consultant.

In addition, Dr. Smock has held leadership positions with both Mid-Atlantic Christian Schools Association (MACSA) and Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  He has also served on a local public school board in his community as a way to make an impact on education in a secular environment.

Dr. Smock has been married to his wife Cheryl since 1984, has 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
