High School
High school is a both an exciting as well as a challenging time and requires a lot of preparation. At TCS, we provide an excellent academically rigorous high school education combined with training to make an eternal impact in this world for Jesus Christ. All subjects are taught from a biblical worldview using God’s Word as the foundation and as the lens through which all knowledge is built upon and viewed.
Students begin college counseling in the 9th Grade. They are supported and encouraged as they find their path and achieve their goals with a variety of activities, adaptive learning opportunities, and intentional college preparation.
Leadership and service of others are also vitally important in training students to live out their Christian faith in practical ways. Our students are the future leaders in government, in businesses, in classrooms, in churches, and in homes. Because training them to lead and serve like Christ is vitally important, opportunities to serve at Timothy Christian School and in the outside community are intentionally built into the high school program.

High School Retreat at Spruce Lake
The purpose of this retreat is about building relationships: relationships between students, relationships between faculty and students and relationships between students and God. While at Spruce Lake students and staff will be participating in large group competitions and activities designed for kids to get to know one another and to build unity within the grade levels and among the whole high school. At the retreat we launch our discipleship/mentoring groups. Students work on activities together in their discipleship groups that help them break down barriers and improve their confidence and ability to share in their groups throughout the year. Times are set aside for worship and for diving into God’s Word centered around our theme for the year.
Senior Dominican Republic Missions Trip
The senior class at Timothy Christian School has been going to the Dominican Republic on a missions trip for over 25 years! We partner with Handfuls of Hope to bring Jesus Christ into the lives of all the individuals they support through missions, education and evangelism.
Student Council
Student Ambassador Program
Student Ambassadors are selected based on the Christian character they display, their enthusiasm for the school, their willingness to speak up in class and their leadership potential. The role of a Student Ambassador is to represent TCS at various functions throughout the year such as preview days, school tours, and special events as we have them. Our Student Ambassadors are held to even a higher standard in this because they have agreed to represent Timothy Christian School in an official capacity. We expect that our student ambassadors will live a life obedient to God’s Word that is consistent both in school and out of school including their interactions on social media. (Philippians 1:27 “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”) It is also expected that students will be positive promoters of TCS even when not functioning in their formal role.
Chick-fil-A Leader Academy at TCS
The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is a national high school leadership program that is designed to inspire America’s next generation of servant leaders. Through this program the students learn about the importance of vision and values, servant leadership, teamwork, and innovation.
HS Sports options include:
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Track
- Baseball
Timothy Christian School STEM Academies offer courses in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that give students extraordinary knowledge and skills, as well as exploration in numerous career pathways. This is available to students through application only and would provide them with rigorous specialized training, which would further prepare them for college level courses.
Dual enrollment classes offer students the opportunity to earn college credit at the same time they are earning high school credit. Timothy Christian School is partnering with Seton Hall University through Project Acceleration where students will be able to graduate from high school having up to 33 college credits already earned!
