The claiming of a championship by an individual team is the result of a collective effort across years. The Timothy Christian School Athletic Department took practical steps to ensure that the collective effort of multiple years of alumni was recognized. Director of Athletics, Chris Hobbs, invited all boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, and cheerleading alumni to join the GMC divisional basketball champion teams of 2013-2014 in a ceremony recognizing the accomplishments of last winter. After recognizing the teams, ‘Coach’ Chris Hobbs invited out all of the alumni present in the building to join the teams for a collective photo opportunity. Coach Hobbs reminded the audience in attendance that the Tiger Family is not about one season or one championship. It is about a culture that collectively embraces ‘Character and Class’ to create a continuous pursuit of excellence across generations of student-athletes.
