The Timothy Christian School Alumni Spotlight is a monthly web feature highlighting the educational and professional achievements of Timothy Christian School graduates.
Jonathan Figueroa (’09) – Upon graduation from Timothy Christian School, Jonathan Figueroa attended Houghton College where he majored in Biology with a minor in Public Health. Along with a heavy pre-med academic load, Jonathan was a 4-year starter on Houghton College’s Men’s Soccer Team. In May of 2013, Jonathan graduated from Houghton College as a member of the Sigma Zeta National Science and Mathematics Honor Society. Jonathan is currently a medical school student at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies focusing on Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
Alyssa Figueroa (’10) – Alyssa is Jonathan’s sister and took a similar path to med school. Alyssa attended Houghton College were she majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. Alyssa, in the midst of a outstanding academic career at Houghton, was a decorated athlete for their women’s soccer team and women’s track & field team. Upon graduation from Houghton College in 2014, Alyssa was accepted into medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Alyssa is directing her efforts in medical school towards Primary Care Pediatrics or Family Medicine.
Timothy Christian School’s alumni continue to utilize the education they have received to attend a wide variety of higher educational institutions and go into many different professional fields.
