Let’s hear from Natalia as she shares her story of growth, purpose, and perseverance, rooted in the nurturing foundation she received at Timothy Christian School.

What do you love most about TCS?

What I love most about Timothy Christian School is the genuine sense of family and spiritual support that surrounded me during my time there. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt seen, valued, and encouraged not only as a student, but as a young woman growing in faith. TCS was more than just a place of learning it was a community that invested in my character, my confidence, and my relationship with God.

What is one word that best describes the school? Why?

The one word that best describes Timothy Christian School is nurturing. TCS nurtured me academically, spiritually, emotionally, and personally. Every part of my experience reflected a deep commitment to helping students grow into strong, confident, and faithful individuals.

Academically, TCS nurtured my love for learning. Teachers took the time to understand my strengths and areas of growth. They encouraged me to push past fear and self-doubt and to believe in my abilities. Mrs. Nelson, my English teacher, played a major role in nurturing my writing skills and helping me see the power of my voice.

Spiritually, TCS nurtured my relationship with God. Through chapel, Bible classes, prayer, and daily encouragement, I learned how to apply God’s Word to my life. Faith was not just taught—it was lived. Teachers modeled what it meant to walk with Christ, and that example stayed with me.

Emotionally, TCS provided a safe place. I never felt alone in my struggles. There were always adults who were willing to listen, pray, and guide me. This support helped me develop resilience and confidence.

Personally, TCS nurtured my dreams. I was encouraged to think about my future and trust that God had a plan for my life. That encouragement played a major role in my journey to college and eventually becoming an author.

Describe one of your favorite memories of TCS.

One of my favorite memories at Timothy Christian School was participating in the mission trip teams to the Dominican Republic. Those trips had a powerful impact on my life and helped shape my heart for service. Being able to travel, serve others, share God’s love, and step outside of my comfort zone taught me lessons that no classroom could fully provide. I learned the importance of humility, compassion, and putting faith into action.

During those mission trips, I witnessed firsthand how God works through willing hearts. Whether we were praying with families, helping in communities, or encouraging children, every moment reminded me that serving others is one of the greatest ways to honor Christ. Those experiences strengthened my faith and deepened my desire to live a life that reflects God’s love.

Another favorite memory was Riot Night. The games, laughter, and friendly competition made that night unforgettable. Riot Night was more than just fun, it created unity among students and allowed us to bond in a joyful, positive environment.

At Timothy Christian School, faith and learning are deeply connected. Education is viewed not only as academic growth but as spiritual development. Every subject is taught through a biblical perspective, helping students understand God’s presence in all areas of life.

In the classroom, teachers often incorporated scripture, prayer, and Christian values into lessons. Whether studying literature, history, or science, we were encouraged to see God’s hand in creation and human experience.
