It was a very special 10th anniversary for Timothy’s Annual Golf Classic! Held on Friday, Oct. 4 at the Warrenbrook Golf Course, God blessed us with a beautiful day! We set a record this year with the greatest number of golfers and sponsors yet! Our 97 golfers, including alumni, alumni parents, current parents, sponsors, and friends, were greeted upon arrival by members of the TCS golf team, Coach Jim Carr and alumnus, Frankie Virgili.

Golfers were welcomed by Lisa Dyer, Director of Advancement, Aiyana Wilkinson, Marketing and Alumni Coordinator, and parent volunteers at the check in table where they received their gift, either a special 10th anniversary golf tumbler or a 75th anniversary t-shirt. Their next stop was to get coffee, a bagel and fruit from Robin Di Fiore.

Evan Waldron, TCS class of ‘14, gave the rules and details for the day and Dr. Smock prayed before sending everyone off on the course.

Our golfers enjoyed the beautiful day on the course, recording their scores and checking the leaderboard on our GolfStatus app throughout the day. At ‘the turn,’ golfers were able to stop and enjoy one of Dr. Smock’s grilled hot dogs with all the fixings and Juan Salas’s famous homemade chili!

Pro golfer, Jessy Tang from Back Swing Golf Events, joined us all the way from CA this year to challenge our golfers to a Beat the Pro Contest on hole 12!

The day concluded with sponsor recognition, prizes for our award winners, and dinner provided by Famous Dave’s.

Cedar Hill and GMC of Greenbrook received special recognition for having sponsored the TCS Golf Classic for all 10 years! Joe Pimentel, alumni parent, Cody Ciullo, class of 2010, and Andrew Park, friend, received special recognition for bringing additional teams to the outing.

Congratulations to all our winners:

· Closest to the Pin:  Dick Wellbrock

· First Place: Team McKenzie Door (Lucas Soucek, Robert DiLeo, Matt Zgorzynski, Evan Waldron)

· Second Place: Team Park (Andrew Park, Ernie ark, Alex Kim, and Donghee Lee)

We thank God for the spectacular day of weather, all our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, all who donated prizes and food, GolfStatus and the Warrenbrook Golf Course. It is all of you who made this day possible and are helping make a difference in the lives of our students at TCS.
