Kevin Hsu, TCS Class of 1994, graduated from Rutgers University where he majored in molecular biology & biochemistry. Kevin then continued his studies at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he earned his medical degree.
He currently practices sports medicine and interventional spine in several outpatient clinics in Ocean and Monmouth counties in NJ and is a partner at Northeast Spine and Sports Medicine.
Kevin is grateful for his experience at Timothy and has generously poured time back into later generations of students. In February 2015, Kevin spoke at our HS Alumni Career Day and encouraged those with an interest in the medical field. Kevin also brought his sonagram machine and did a demonstration for our HS human anatomy and physiology class. Currently Kevin and his wife are serving on our STEM advisory committee which is helping to plan and launch our new STEM program in the fall of 2022.
Kevin and his wife have four children and live in Manasquan, NJ.

What do you love most about TCS?
Teachers care about their students.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Dedicated to Christian education. This is difficult in a time, where Biblical values are being undermined by policy and postmodern world views.
Describe one of your favorite memories of TCS.
Playing soccer and being in Mr. McKay’s Chemistry class are some of my favorite TCS memories.
From your own experience, why do you believe it was important for you to attend TCS?
It gave me academic confidence that changed my outlook on what I could achieve. Mr. McKay taught with passion, and it was passed to me in terms of how I started to believe in myself more.
How are faith and learning integrated at TCS?
The chapel. I remember Mondays, the Bible teacher would ask what the Sunday’s Message was about. It was just a simple question but made me realize I should pay more attention during service !! 🙂
In what ways did TCS prepare you for college and beyond?
Helped me grow in confidence.
What would you tell a friend to encourage them to send their child to TCS?
It’s a small school with the advantage of more personalized attention.
