Meet the Merhom Family! They are new to Timothy Christian School this year with a daughter who just completed K4 and a son who is a newly graduated kindergartener! Mark and Olivia Merhom have jumped right into the TCS community volunteering at events like the Pastor’s Breakfast, going on class trips, and attending this year’s Spring Banquet! We are excited to continue to partner with the Merhom family for many years to come. Let’s hear from Mark and Olivia as they share their TCS story!
Why did you choose TCS for your children?
We prayed about where to send our children, and after touring TCS, we truly felt that God had answered our prayers through this school. Not only do our children receive a Christ-centered education, but they also benefit from strong academics. With over 75 years of experience, TCS has proven to be one of the leading Christian schools in New Jersey.
What do you love most about TCS?
At TCS, our children are seen as more than just students—they are loved like family. I feel confident knowing the staff serve the Lord through the care and dedication they show each child. Each day my kids go to school, I know they are genuinely loved and well cared for.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Love — At TCS, children are encouraged to grow in their love for God and to show love and kindness to one another. This foundation shapes not only who they are as students, but who they are becoming as people.
In what ways have you seen your children grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
My children are growing in both academics and character, which are equally important to our family. I’ve seen the values and lessons they are learning at school positively influence our home in meaningful and lasting ways.
How is TCS preparing your children for college and beyond?
TCS is providing a strong academic foundation while also shaping the character and faith of our children. By emphasizing integrity, perseverance, and a Christ-centered worldview, TCS is equipping them to make wise decisions and live with purpose in college and beyond.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
I would encourage anyone seeking a high-quality, Christ-centered education to take a tour of the school and experience firsthand what makes this community so special.
