We recently hosted the annual Spring Banquet evening filled with fellowship, celebration, and support for the mission of Timothy Christian School. This year’s theme was Rooted In Truth: The Power of Christian Education. Families, staff, alumni, and friends gathered together for a special night highlighting the impact God is making through Timothy.
The evening began with a warm welcome from Director of Advancement Lisa Dyer, followed by dinner. During dinner, student ambassadors greeted guests and shared testimonies of how they have grown academically and spiritually during their time at Timothy.
Guests were encouraged and inspired through a moving video presentation titled The Power of Christian Education, showcasing student testimonies about the lasting impact of a Christ-centered education. Dr. James Smock, Head of School, shared exciting initiatives and vision for the future of Timothy Christian School including recent installation of new desks and chairs in the 5th grade classroom and a call to action to become a Scholarship Angel and donate to families who would benefit from financial aid.
Alumnus Michael Thiero, Class of 2017, who was a financial aid recipient himself, shared a powerful video testimony reflecting on how Timothy Christian School helped shape his faith and future.

The banquet also featured live artwork from Dewin Sierra while LeeAnna Colonnello and Nathalie Mvondo sang a beautiful rendition of Firm Foundation by Cory Carnes. Guests were further encouraged by keynote speaker Rev. Darrell Jones, President of the Herzog Foundation, who spoke passionately about the importance of Christian education and building strong biblical foundations for the next generation.
One of the most memorable moments of the night came during the live auction. High School Principal Laura McKay and High School English teacher Barb Nelson brought incredible energy and entertainment to the room as they acted out each live auction item using costumes and props. Their creativity and humor had the audience laughing throughout the auction while Ali Pachuski described each item and Dr. Smock enthusiastically led the bidding. The interactive presentation quickly became the highlight of the evening and created an atmosphere full of joy and excitement.
The evening concluded with closing thanks from Lisa Dyer and a closing prayer from Board President Michael Gottshall.
This year’s banquet theme was beautifully woven throughout the evening. Guests were welcomed by stunning centerpieces featuring potted plants grown in Timothy Christian School’s greenhouse by members of the Middle School Greenhouse Club and Debbie Hubler. The plants were thoughtfully arranged and potted with the help of Robin DiFiore, who also designed the centerpieces. Each flowerpot displayed the banquet theme, with custom creations lovingly made by Cheryl Lowden, grandmother of a 6th grade student. The meaningful centerpieces doubled as favors that served as a wonderful reminder of the school’s mission to help students grow strong roots in Christ and in His truth.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, families, staff, volunteers, and supporters, the banquet was a tremendous success. This year’s Spring Banquet raised over $60,000!
We are deeply grateful for everyone who participated in making this evening possible and for the continued support of the mission of Timothy Christian School!
