On the beautiful sunny morning of Friday January 9, 2026, TCS hosted a heartfelt celebration honoring the brave men and women who protect and serve our community. 68 officers from 15 different departments* and one K-9 pup, lined up along the front of the school with the lights on their vehicles illuminated. As they drove-thru, some officers stepped out of their cars to greet the students and speak with them. Students took an active part in the celebration as well, preparing heartfelt thank-you cards in advance of the event. “Thank you for your service” could be heard from students throughout the grades, a simple yet powerful message of appreciation and support. Some officers even allowed students to take turns pressing the siren noises on their vehicles, a fun experience that those students won’t soon forget!

The atmosphere was festive and community-centric. TCS volunteers warmly greeted each officer, offering breakfast bars, juice, and hot beverages. Each officer was presented with a gift from TCS. Officers received either a Law Enforcement Bible or a flashlight. Chick-fil-A generously donated breakfast biscuit sandwiches for the officers, adding to the sense of community partnership. The school’s cheerleading squad brought extra energy and fun to the drive-through celebration, performing spirited cheers.

Adding to the community spirit, the Mayor of Piscataway, Brian C. Wahler, was present to support the event and share in honoring the law enforcement personnel who work tirelessly to keep Middlesex County and the surrounding areas safe.

Pastor Bill Page from Terrill Road Baptist Church in Scotch Plains, set up a booth to talk with and pray for officers who chose to stop by. Many were encouraged by this and thankful for the prayer and support.

Timothy Christian School is deeply grateful for all the officers who attended, to the volunteers and administrators who supported the event, and to the students whose kind words and actions made Law Enforcement Appreciation Day meaningful and memorable. In honoring those who protect us, our school continues to foster respect, gratitude, and unity with our community.
