On the evening of April 3, 2025, the Timothy Christian School community gathered in the chapel to celebrate a legacy of excellence and character at the 46th Annual National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. The event honored 15 newly inducted members of the Timothian Chapter and recognized 5 graduating seniors who have upheld the values of the NHS throughout their time at TCS.

Parents, family members, students, and staff filled the chapel in a momentous evening marked by reverence, reflection, and celebration. The ceremony included a devotional and charge by Principal Miss McKay, personalized speeches written and read by teachers to honor each senior member, and the traditional candle-lighting ceremony that symbolized the passing of knowledge, responsibility, and purpose to a new generation of student leaders.

Sara Koshy, elementary parent, who played a key role in organizing the event shared this heartfelt reflection:

“On the 46th year that Timothy has been honoring new NHS members, I am thankful to have been able to observe this special ceremony. If there is one event I wish every member of the TCS community could attend, it would be this one.

As Principal McKay gave a devotional and charged our TCS students to be the light and pass on the torch, I was thankful that we are a school that celebrates truth! As teachers read personalized letters to each graduating senior, I was grateful that we are a school that welcomes mentorship and discipleship. As each new inductee stood proudly up front, bearing a newly lit flame, my heart swelled with joy that this is where my children are receiving their education.

I pray my children will grow to be like those inducted and honored in the ceremony on April 3rd—that they will light up the hallways of TCS, exemplifying scholarship, leadership, character, service, and Christian testimony.”

The National Honor Society recognizes students who not only excel academically, but who also demonstrate exceptional character, servant-hearted leadership, and a commitment to living out their faith in meaningful ways. At Timothy, the NHS is more than an honor, it’s a calling, and this annual event serves as a powerful reminder of what it looks like when young people walk in both wisdom and grace.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a joyful dessert celebration, a time to share in the accomplishments of the honorees and encourage one another as a unified community.

We congratulate the newest NHS members and our graduating seniors, and we thank the parents, faculty, and staff who continue to partner with us in developing students who shine brightly for Christ in all areas of life.
