This past winter sports season in Timothy Christian Athletics was one to remember! Our boys’ basketball team achieved an outstanding milestone by clinching the GMC Blue Division championship. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievement. A special shoutout to our boys’ basketball head coach, Dennis McNulty, who was selected as the GMC Blue Division Coach of the Year—an honor well-deserved!
Additionally, our boys’ basketball team finished in the final eight of the GMC County Tournament for the second year in a row, which is just the second time in school history that this has happened—a testament to their exceptional performance and determination.
Our girls’ team also shone brightly, competing in a new division for the first time and demonstrating remarkable skill and sportsmanship. Both teams hosted their first-round state games, marking a significant moment in our school’s sports history.
We are especially proud to celebrate Rhaiyna Brown, who joined the prestigious 1,000-point club, and Jalen Fleming, who became the all-time leading scorer in school history with over 2,152 points, surpassing the previous record of 1,819 points set by Warren Fitch in 1992. Additionally, five of our athletes were recognized as all-division players, and one earned an all-county distinction.
We are also incredibly thankful for our cheerleaders, whose energy and enthusiasm brought so much joy to the crowd and truly uplifted our teams throughout the winter season. Their commitment and spirit were invaluable to our success.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to the Timothy Christian School pep band, who brought their musical talents and vibrant energy to our home games, creating an electrifying atmosphere that energized both players and fans alike.
Congratulations to all the players, coaches, cheerleaders, the pep band, game day staff and supporters for making this season unforgettable! God bless & Go Tigers!
