TCS hosted families, current and former staff members, and over 100 alumni who came to Homecoming events throughout the day. Laughter and squeals of joy were heard as alumni saw each other and their favorite staff members. Warm hugs were given as alumni throughout the years returned. It was an extra special Homecoming, as this year TCS is celebrating 75 years!

During the day, cotton candy, snow cones, field games, face painting, and three bounce houses entertained the many families with young children. Soccer games, volleyball games, and the Tiger’s Den occupied those of all ages.

In the early afternoon, alumni played in a soccer game organized by Cody Ciullo, class of 2008. It had been many years since some stepped back on the soccer field, and we are thankful that everyone who played had fun and there were no injuries to report!

The celebration continued into the evening with a special dinner for current and former staff and alumni. The buzz of conversation filled the gym as alumni and staff reminisced about their time at TCS.

Around the room were different stations. Trophies and yearbooks spanning from 1972 to 2024 were on display. There was a wall created by Amy Delmanto, class of 1993, that featured the students who currently attend TCS and have at least one parent who is an alum. The “TCS Sweethearts” wall featured alumni who married each other. There were over 50 couples represented, including two engaged couples! Next to this was a prayer and praise wall where people were able to use sticky notes to post their prayer requests or praise reports!

The theme of the night was God’s faithfulness throughout the history of Timothy. The program began with singing “Goodness of God” with Ms. Brookman, known by some alumni as Ms. Sutter, on the piano and Mr. Landis leading out in song.

Plates full of delicious food catered by Annandale Terrace in Staten Island filled the tables as dinner was served by several of our current seniors. After dinner, everyone joined in on a Kahoot Trivia game hosted by Aiyana Wilkinson, class of 2014. The trivia game was created by Barb Nelson, class of 1994, and Laura McKay, class of 1985. Everyone had fun competing as they learned pieces of TCS history.

The program continued as Lisa Dyer, Director of Advancement, walked everyone through the history of TCS. She brought up Mr. Bills, who spoke about his early days at TCS. He shared his love for Mr. Gottshall and the challenges of building an athletic program from the ground up. Mr. Bills stayed in the front as Derryck White, class of 1985, facilitated a beautiful dedication of two pieces of the original bleachers that he had engraved for Mr. and Mrs. Bills.

Elementary Principal, Kristi McInerney, Middle School and High School Principal, Laura McKay, and Athletic Director, Nick Badillo communicated the excellent programs that each of their departments are doing today. Dr. Smock took us into the future of TCS as he shared plans for new developments to the campus.

The night ended as it began, in song, with Dr. Smock leading “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” accompanied by Ms. Brookman and retired faculty member, Mr. Don McKay.

We are so thankful to every volunteer who helped the details of the day and night come together! It was a wonderful time of fellowship, celebration, and praise for all God has done at TCS throughout these 75 years!
