The 9th Annual Golf Classic was held on Monday, Oct. 2 at the Warrenbrook Golf Course. God blessed us with a beautiful day! For the first time this year we golfed on a Monday with a 12:30 start time. Our golfers, including alumni, parents, sponsors, and friends, were greeted upon arrival by members of the TCS golf team along with coaches, Jim Carr and Doug MacMillan.
Golfers then checked in with Karen Gotshall to receive their gift, a TCS Golf Classic t-shirt and swag bag with goodies from our sponsors. Before going to their carts, golfers were able to stop by the lunch tent for one of Dr. Smock’s grilled hot dogs with all the fixings and Juan Salas’s homemade chili served by Robin Di Fiore and Jill Sibilla.
Evan Waldron, TCS class of ‘14, gave the rules and details for the day. Lisa Dyer, Director of Advancement, welcomed and thanked everyone and Dr. Smock prayed before sending everyone off on the course.
Our golfers greatly enjoyed the beautiful day on the course, recording their scores and checking the leaderboard on our GolfStatus app throughout the day and stopping for sweet and salty treats, ice cream and Philly pretzels, at ‘the turn!’
In addition to our closest to the pin, longest drive, hole in one, and putting contests, our golfers were greeted on hole four by Pro golfer, Molly Herbert from PA, who challenged them to a Beat the Pro Contest!
The day concluded with sponsor recognition, prizes for our award winners, and dinner provided by Famous Dave’s.

Sponsorships, golfers, and donations totaled over $21,000! The net proceeds benefit the TCS Annual Fund – tuition assistance, academic and athletic programs.

It is all of you who made this day possible and are helping make a difference in the lives of our students at TCS.
