Let’s hear from Hannah and learn more about her experience at TCS.
What do you love most about TCS?
Looking back at my time at TCS, one of the things I appreciate the most is all of the teachers I had. I learned so much from all of them, not just about the subjects they taught, but life lessons as well.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Foundational. TCS was a part of the foundation of my academic and spiritual growth.
Describe one of your favorite memories of TCS.
One of my favorite memories definitely has to be Riot Night and Spirit Week. From all the preparation that went into it to the night itself, it was always so much fun!
From your own experience, why do you believe it was important for you to attend TCS?
TCS was instrumental in my faith becoming my own. I grew up in a Christian household and went to church all my life, but the Bible classes and Worldview class introduced me to new ideas and challenged me to know what I believe and why I believe it.
How are faith and learning integrated at TCS?
The integration of faith and learning at TCS goes beyond the Bible classes that are a part of the curriculum. The way our faith relates to science, history, or even language learning was always a part of the conversation.
In what ways did TCS prepare you for college and beyond?
I found that the AP classes and extra science classes I took at TCS gave me a head start in my college education, both in terms of course material and study methods.
What do you like best about your career?
One of my favorite things about my career is being able to connect and build relationships with people.
What has been the most challenging part of your career?
The most challenging part of my career has been making the decision to pursue a career path outside of my field of study. It has been an unconventional path, but I think it ultimately shows that God uses all the life experience we have and opens doors where we least expect them.
