Music and excitement filled the air as fourth through sixth grade girls arrived with their dads for this special night! Dads and daughters went all out getting dressed up for the event!  The men were as handsome as the girls were beautiful!

On Friday, April 14, the TCS cafeteria was transformed into a dance hall with a DJ, disco lights, light refreshments, and a special area for photos. The dance floor was filled with girls and their dads, a first in TCS history!

For those who needed a break from dancing, girls enjoyed decorating journals and making friendship bracelets.

Comments from the girls included: I loved it! It was awesome! It was really fun! It was great to get to spend time, bond and make memories with my dad. It was so fun to dance and have other activities too!

Building in time for dads to spend time with their daughters is so important. “It was such a joy watching these young girls enjoy talking, laughing, twirling their dresses and dancing with their friends and their dads! I loved seeing the bond between fathers and daughters,” shared Mrs. McInerney.

Dads beamed as they shared their thoughts about the night.

“As soon as I heard about this event, I blocked off my work schedule and put it on the calendar! I had a great time, and my daughter tells me that she had a great time and asked if we can have more father-daughter time together.” said Mr. Gulyas.

Ron Woodruffe added, “I really enjoyed getting to meet and talk with some of the other dads! We and our daughters had a great evening!”

“It was a magical, phenomenal night! It was so special that all the dads got together with their little girls and danced the night away! It was a wonderful opportunity to take our daughters out on a first date! It gave me a chance as a father to show her how much I love and appreciate her! Now I plan to do something special with her once a month! Thank you to Mrs. Mac for putting this event together!” said JC Gilbert.

This was a night fathers and daughters will remember for a lifetime!
