While last year the idea of an alumni baseball game was ruled “out!” This year, it was a homerun! In the summer of 2019, we hosted our first TCS Alumni Baseball Game featuring current players and a handful of recent former players. Unfortunately, we were not able to play in 2020 but were excited to come together this year and hope to make this an annual event going forward.

Jarrett Johnson, class of 2018, has led the charge in making this happen! “After my first season playing baseball at Cairn University, where the Cairn alumni game was already an established annual event, I experienced the great relationships cultivated by celebrating our past. With all of the alumni currently involved in Timothy Baseball and athletics in general, it was a tradition we needed to start. We believe that part of building and maintaining a team culture is to honor those who set the foundation for the program we have now. Additionally, we wanted to create a network of former players to keep them in the loop about the progress of our current team, alumni events, and news.”

This year, on Saturday, July 11, we were pleased to have 15 alumni ‘return home’ to TCS to play! The alumni and current players enjoyed a great time of healthy competition on the field and fellowship afterwards.  All who came are already looking forward to next year’s game!
