After a three year hiatus Timothy Christian School brings back its long standing Space program! Elementary students in kindergarten through 5th grade will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be an astronaut as they learn about Outer Space.
Timothy Christian Student “astronauts” will gear up in space suits and helmets and rocket to the “international space station” during the week of May 16-20. There they will perform scientific experiments, simulate living in outer space and communicate back with “Timothy Christian’s own” Mission Control.”
Timothy Christian High School Seniors, who themselves participated in the Space program 10 years ago, are assisting Miss Jeanne Ramunda, 1st grade teacher and creator of the TCS Space program in 1995.
Gabe Morocoima, a Timothy Christian alum, class of 2005, who was part of the Space Program in its first year, now works for Mission Control at NASA and will be skyping with the student astronauts on Thursday.
We are happy to report that TCS is flying again!
