VG soccer wins state tourney matchThe Lady Tigers Varsity Soccer Team of 2014 earned a #8 seed in the NJSIAA State Tournament and hosted the #9 seed, Gill St. Bernard’s School. The Lady Tigers played valiantly in poor weather and against tough competition, but fell 1-0. Fast forward to the 2015 version of the Lady Tigers minus a strong cohort of players lost to graduation and only two seniors in the starting line up. The season got off to a slow start with many competitive games ending in losses. The girls soccer team did manage to earn a state tournament birth and a #9 seed and guess who they were heading to play? The #8 seed Gill St. Bernard’s hosted the young Tigers on their picturesque Gladstone campus. Each team scored quickly and then played 90 minutes of scoreless soccer to be settled by penalty kicks. The young Tigers followed showed tremendous resolve as they reversed the dissappointing loss of 2014 by defeated Gill St. Bernard’s 4-1 in the penalty kick over time.

The Lady Tigers of Timothy Christian School move on to the semi-final of the Non-Public South B Sectional on November 5 at Moorestown Friends School.
