‘Everything rises and falls on leadership.’ It is with that quote that Timothy Christian School welcomes a new Secondary Principal to its administrative team. On August 17th, Mr. David Hobbs took over the primary leadership position for the 6th – 12th grade experience at Timothy Christian School. Mr. Hobbs joins Timothy Christian School in the 40th year of his Christian education career and at the same time brings ‘first-year’ energy. Mr. Hobbs began his educational career in 1975 after obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Philadelphia College of Bible (now Cairn University). A successful teaching and coaching career would soon give way to a move into administration, and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Tennessee Temple University. Mr. Hobbs has worked at four different Christian schools holding a variety of administrative positions, including the superintendent position for two of the institutions. Record enrollments were achieved at two of the schools while Mr. Hobbs served on the leadership teams. Mr. Hobbs’ influence in Christian education was recently highlighted by a small 2-part (part 1 and part 2 are available here) documentary produced by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The father of Timothy Christian School’s Director of Athletics, Chris Hobbs, Mr. David Hobbs is known for his infectious enthusiasm for students and deep love of the Christian educational experience.
