The Timothy Christian School Alumni Spotlight is a monthly web feature highlighting the educational and professional achievements of Timothy Christian School graduates.
Cairn University celebrated the closing of the fall semester in December with their traditional graduation ceremonies. At the forefront of many graduation ceremonies is the valedictorian and this year’s Cairn University valedictorian hailed from the hallways of Timothy Christian School. Katrina Ivashenko (’11) graduated on December 13th with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work in an accelerated 3 1/2 years. Katrina credits Timothy Christian School with providing foundational training – spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and academically, that set the stage for her accomplishments at Cairn University. ‘I do not think that I would be where I am right now had I not been poured into by such amazing people from such a young age.’
Katrina will begin her career working back here in Central New Jersey as a social work case manager, and begin graduate school in the fall with Columbia, New York University, and Rutgers being her top three choices.
Timothy Christian School’s alumni continue to utilize the education they have received to attend a wide variety of higher educational institutions and go into many different professional fields.
