The FTC Frozen Frenzy Qualifier, cohosted by Say Watt Robotics and TCS, was held in the TCS gymnasium on January 18th. Thirty teams competed for 5 advancements to the New Jersey FTC state tournament. The Timothy Tigers received the Think Award trophy, given by the judges to the team that best understood the role of the engineering notebook in the design and build of their robot. Although TCS did not advance at this qualifier, the team is currently ranked in 9th place among unqualified teams. The top 12 ranked teams earn invitations to the bonus slots at the NJ FTC Championship held in March. The TCS robotics team has enjoyed great success in the past including qualifying for out-of-state tournaments! The Tigers are looking towards repeating that success this spring!
