Your varsity boys basketball team pushed its record to 22-5 last night with an exciting victory in the NJSIAA basketball state tournament over Mater Dei Prep, 63-52. As the team continues its journey through the state tournament, excitement is very high. As the athletic director, I wanted to make you aware of some important details and encourage you to join in on the fun:

– The varsity boys team is the #2 seed and will now host Sacred Heart High School of Vineland tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m.

– The athletic department is promoting the ‘Blu Cru’ fan effort. ‘Blu Cru’ t-shirts are available for sale at the admissions table during games or at the athletic office during the day for $10. These shirts are a great way to show your support for your school and will be used in future spirit efforts.

TICKET INFORMATION: Now that the team has advanced in the state tournament, TCS has NJSIAA tournament policies that it must abide by.

– All attendees must purchase a ticket. The TCS season tickets are no longer valid. There are no TCS staff or TCS student discounts. TCS is required to send all proceeds from admissions to the NJSIAA.

– Cost: $3 for adult tickets / $2 for K-12 students and senior citizens

– Tickets may be purchased at the girls’ physical education office beginning at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) morning. You can reserve tickets beginning at 7:45 a.m. by emailing assistant athletic director, Miriam Hartzler, at

– The doors to the gymnasium will open at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow night. All tickets must be present at the door in order to gain entry

SUPERVISION: While we are strongly encouraging our student body to attend the game, TCS does not have adequate staffing to supervise students between the end of the school day (2:35) and when the gym doors open (6:00). Students should leave campus at the end of the school day or they will need to be supervised in TCS’ aftercare program. All fees will apply.

It is an exciting and historic time at TCS. We hope that you will show your Tiger-spirit by joining us tomorrow night! If you cannot join us, real-time updates will be made via TCS athletics facebook page (Timothy Christian School Athletics) & twitter account (@TCSTigersNJ) Go Tigers!
