The Authority Sports recently highlighted the history of the 3 point shot in Middlesex County. The coverage shown a bright light on some historical figures in Timothy Christian School Boys’ Basketball and most recently the closing of an era for the program. On February 26th, Josh Decker played his last game for Timothy Christian School. The buzzer rang that night and signified the end of a nine-year presence of the Decker brothers wearing blue and gold. Francis Decker (’09), Dan (’12), and Josh (’15) were profilic shooters for the Tigers from behind the 3-point arc. The brothers finished with the 2nd most three-pointers made for a sibling combo in county history with 420. The most made in county history? Well, that’s also a Timothy Christian School family. The Waszaj brothers made a combined 493. Many visiting coaches say that Timothy Christian School’s gymnasium is a great gym to shoot in, but it helps that the Tigers have had some great shooters in that gym.
