Saturday afternoon, December 20th, was a special day. The gymnasium was packed with students, parents, alumni, family and friends of Timothy Christian School to see a historic occasion. Hannah Saquian needed 13 points to eclipse the 1000 point mark for her career. Hannah did not make the crowd wait long as she quickly piled up 10 points in the first quarter. Early in the second quarter, Coach Miriam Hartzler called a timeout and the stage was set. The Lady Tigers took the floor, advanced the ball up the court and executed a play perfectly that allowed Hannah to catch the ball on the left wing. As she had done so many times before in her career, she lofted a perfect left-handed three point shot that ripped the chords and sent the Saturday afternoon crowd into celebration. ‘Little Lefty’ known for her quick ball-handling and strong three point shooting, crossed into the 1000 point club from where she had scored so many of her previous 997 points.
