The Middle School and High School Field Days at Timothy Christian School were each a day to remember! For the first time ever, our middle school students joined in on the fun, while the high school celebrated its second biannual event. From worship to wild games, students spent the day laughing, learning, and growing closer as a community.
The morning began with an ice breaker followed by worship and a message from Dean Rodriguez, who encouraged the students to focus on the secondary school theme, Seek His Presence. The students got into their color groups for a chance to dive deeper into discussion, and then it was time to let the games begin!
Students raced across campus during Manhunt, searching for hidden teachers, and then tested their riddle-solving skills in the TCS Amazing Race, a scavenger hunt filled with challenges and clues. The students unscrambled letters that they found across campus to discover that they spelled out “SEEK HIS PRESENCE.” Then the high schoolers engaged in game of capture the flag before they broke for lunch.
After lunch, the competition heated up. High schoolers faced off in a lively Knockerball tournament, while middle school students enjoyed both volleyball and a Knockerball tournament which was a crowd favorite! Congratulations to the Pink team who won in high school and the Black team who won in middle school!
The day wrapped up with a Color Wars celebration. Clouds of color, team cheers, and big smiles filled the field as the students ended the day with energy and excitement.
Some students and staff commented on their favorite part of the day. Seventh grade girls Marion and Isabella talked about how much fun they had. Marion said, “I liked Knockerball because it was fun knocking people over in those big balls” and Isabella said, “I liked manhunt because the campus is really big, so I got to run around a lot!”
Freshman Malachi said that he enjoyed, “connecting with new people.”
Seniors Becca and Taylor shared that their favorite part was the Color Wars, while Mrs. Dagnall and Ms. Adrian both agreed that their favorite part was Knockerball.
Dean Rodriguez said, “My favorite part was seeing students connect, engage, love on each other and seeing them worship God together. I think it was an amazing day.”
Each day was a wonderful day of fellowship, teamwork, and fun, all while keeping Christ at the center. We are so grateful for the administrators, teachers, staff, and student council members who helped make the Middle School and High School Field Days possible. We can’t wait to see how this new tradition continues to grow in the years to come!
