The Hamptons have been with us at TCS for three years now. They have two daughters, one in first grade and one in fourth grade. The Hamptons are one of many of our TCS families who have a parent working at Rutgers University. Our students always have a blast during Rutgers Recess Day when they get to attend a Rutgers Women’s Basketball game, where Mr. Hampton is the Assistant Coach! Let’s hear from the Hamptons why they love being at TCS.
Why did you choose TCS for your children?
We are transplants from Philadelphia. When researching the area, we made it a point to explore Christian education options and stumbled across TCS. We had a positive campus visit and were impressed by the curriculum and extra-curricular options available.
What do you love most about TCS?
We appreciate that TCS is a Pre-K-12 institution. Continuity is important to us so when we discovered that TCS could be home to our girls for the duration of their schooling, we were excited.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Inviting. From the onset, my children felt welcomed and seen by teachers and administrators. My children are known by name and have been able to develop rapport with everyone from front office staff to afterschool attendants.
In what ways have you seen your children grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
My children’s Bible knowledge and application has grown since joining TCS. My husband and I have been consistently impressed with how intentionally biblical principles are infused into their lessons and how readily they can quote and explain scripture.
How is TCS preparing your children for college and beyond?
I find that my children are being challenged academically; especially when I compare their workload to peers attending other schools.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
I would underscore how satisfied my husband and I are with the environment. We know that when we drop our children off, they are being watched over and taught biblical principles that mirror the values we teach at home.
