Giving Tuesday was held on Tuesday, December 3. We are grateful to our Board who started the day off with a challenge of matching their collective gift of $20,000. That match was met by noon! We are so thankful for each person who contributed! You made a difference! We deeply appreciate every one of our alumni, parents, grandparents, staff, and friends who gave. We praise God for the $76,769 that came in that day and all that has come in since for a total now of $85,402.75.
During the day, we asked donors to share why they give. Current grandparent, Alan Young, shared:
TCS offers a superior education choice, free of inappropriate materials and other undesirable programs pushed by public school teacher unions and school boards. Instead, TCS focuses on the basics and provides a well-rounded Christ-centered education.
Also, our two children attended TCS from Kindergarten through high school graduation and TCS helped them establish such strong study habits that they found their college studies easier than high school at TCS!
Our daughter Tara, even though she missed most of her TCS senior year due to health issues, went on to Graduate from Livingston/Rutgers College, Phi Beta Kappa with a double major, and received an award for achieving the highest grade point average of the entire Livingston College graduating class!
Our son Bryan went on to graduate from Monmouth University with a BS in Software Engineering and then got his master’s in software engineering, achieving a GPA of over 3.80 for both degrees. He is now employed as a Software Developer for AT&T.
In addition to the success that their TCS education helped them achieve, most importantly, they both continued to maintain a close relationship with God, thanks to their church teachings and the Christian atmosphere at TCS.
Lastly, our grandson Daniel now attends TCS in 1st grade in his second year at TCS. He likes it there a lot and even teaches his four-year-old brother some of the Bible verses he learns in class. We are sure he will go on to follow the success of our children.
Our Grandson David will attend Kindergarten at TCS next fall, and he looks forward to it.
Congratulations to current parent, Sabrina Dinkle who won the drawing for sharing the campaign with friends, and to alumna, Alyssa Griguoli for winning the alumni drawing.
