Why did you choose TCS for your child?
We wanted our child to receive an excellent Christ-centered education and to be free from the clutches of the left-wing movement in the public schools. We wanted a place that has a loving environment, discipline, and solid academics along with quality arts and athletics.
What do you love most about TCS?
How it has helped Noah to grow, over the years, into a respectful, loving, and well-educated young man. Also, I often think about how to make sure that Timothy is there for our kids and for future generations. I heard a recent Timothy alumnus talking about a key element that was also crucial to us when we were considering sending Noah to Timothy. That element is that, even when Noah is older, after the education he’ll receive, he’ll have the ability to make the right choices, wise choices. We find that he is not just receiving a Christ-centered education, but he is also receiving excellent academics. The arts and athletics are also very solid at TCS. Noah’s teachers have been not only highly qualified, but also loving and truly invested in the students. Every year has been fantastic as far as the teacher quality goes, all his elementary teachers and now his middle school teachers as well. Mrs. Brookman, the music teacher, is also super. She is a wonderful and warm hearted and I’m glad Noah got to spend so much time with her. TCS students are taught with love, discipline and respect. I’m also very glad that, at TCS, kids can actually be kids and won’t grow up so fast that they lose their innocence. At TCS the kids are not exposed to some of the adult and alternative lifestyle issues that seem to be pervasive in the public schools nowadays; many mandated by our government.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Loving. My son even corrects me when I am less than loving in situations where I should turn the other cheek. What he learns, through TCS, is making us all better Christians.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
Noah has turned into a caring and respectful member of society. He approaches people with the idea that we should love one another as God loves us.
How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
His grades and his ability to explain what he has learned are excellent. He is receiving proper math, science and English education at TCS. TCS keeps up or surpasses our town’s public school in terms of curriculum and, at TCS, he actually learns it. There is discipline and the students know what is expected of them and what will not be tolerated. The children are more attentive and respectful so they can concentrate more.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
It is a wonderful environment. There is love, quality academics, sports, arts and, of course, Christ at the center. Your children will learn and be in an environment where they can be kids, they can maintain their innocence, and won’t be exposed to adult or alternative ideas at a young age.
