By Kristi McInerney, TCS Elementary Principal
Christine Sciacca has been with the Timothy family since 1998. Her first involvement was as a parent when she enrolled her two daughters, Noelle in grade 4 and Janette in grade 8. It did not take her long to dive in deeper becoming a first grade teacher at the school in 1999. She loved that TCS had so many great programs for her own children and she wanted to be a part of such a loving community.
Over the years, Mrs. Sciacca became known as a no-nonsense teacher who equipped her students to be more than ready to move onto second grade. She loved teaching in first grade because she feels, “the students are at the perfect age of 6 and 7 where they are curious and inquisitive and love to please their teacher.” She has so many fond memories in the classroom and loved that her students would sometimes call her mom by mistake because of the amount of time students spend with their classroom teacher every day.
When I was a third grade teacher back in 2001, I always looked up to Chris as a godly woman and friend. She was always there to lend an encouraging word, give advice, and pray with me. As the elementary principal I loved having Chris on my team because she was so faithful and dependable in the classroom. She would drive over 40 miles every day back and forth from her home in Manalapan to Piscataway and was typically the first one to arrive on campus. Mrs. Sciacca loved her students; she loved her ministry, and we will miss her dearly!
