Why did you choose TCS for your child?

My husband and I decided a long time ago that if our children are anything like we were back in high school, they would need all the grace and godly love and support they could get to thrive in this modern-day academic school setting. TCS checked every box a millennial parent could ask for. It has an awesome academic program that includes Bible and chapel to keep our child engaged with the Lord and His Word throughout their academic journey. Every child and parent we have encountered has been so kindhearted and humble to us and our child. The teachers have huge hearts and although they assign some challenging homework and projects, they give my child the direction and grace to accomplish the tasks and earn extra credit when needed. Even the school tour of the campus prior to us deciding to enroll our daughter resonated with our hearts that we were in the right atmosphere. After all was considered, our hearts, values and goals for our daughter were in alignment with TCS and the Lord provided a way financially to make it affordable with tuition assistance when we really needed it. Thank God. Thank you TCS.

What do you love most about TCS?

What I love most about TCS is the presence of the Lord in those buildings and in the hearts of each staff member and even the security staff. The sports teams are competitive as well and my daughter was able to participate on a volleyball team for the first time ever. My husband and I were able to attend the games and cheer on the team and a winning team at that!

What is one word that best describes the school? Why?

Surprising! What a hidden gem. This school from the outside doesn’t appear like some of the more aesthetic campuses you see online, but as we toured the campus, we saw excellent facilities for learning, indoor and outdoor athletics. The Tiger’s Den café cooks onsite for the children and all the classrooms are spacious and cozy for the kids.

In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?

My child coming from 6th grade in a local school (post Covid) was top of her class but seemingly unchallenged academically. Her first month at TCS really exposed how much growth she needed to catch up to the other students in her grade that had been at TCS since 6th grade. She worked really hard, studied consistently and even attended after school study to catch up and eventually earn High Honor Roll at TCS!

How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?

TCS has challenged my daughter academically and taught her incredible study habits and teamwork through their sports and competition. What she has learned being part of the Volleyball team has already impacted her perseverance and dedication to achieving team goals which will translate into the experience needed to thrive in college and the workplace.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?

TCS has proven to my husband and I that it’s a school that you can trust with your child’s safety and know that you are investing in their character, moral development, academic and athletic growth. Our child has excelled in so many areas because of the prayers and love that the TCS staff give our child daily.
