Why did you choose TCS for your children?
We lived in Costa Rica when we started researching Christian schools near Iselin, NJ. In a specific private school ranking, Timothy came up as one of the top Christian schools for the state and also near Iselin.
What do you love most about TCS?
The care and love that teachers and the staff show for the kids. God’s love is demonstrated in practical ways. We also love the good Christian values and academics. It is a good community and we have found friends in other families around our kids.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
We would say loving/caring because we’re sure our kids are in the hands of people who love them and guide them towards God’s will.
In what ways have you seen your children grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
David – He has gained confidence and independence after joining TCS. He can do more things on his own. He has learned how to trust other people, teachers, and friends. He has built good relationships with his friends and is becoming a good friend. He learned how to speak English at TCS in about 6 months.
Samuel – Samuel joined during COVID, coming from Costa Rica with no English. It was a very tough time for us as well as for everybody. He needed in person interaction and it did him very good. He built many new friendships and helped us make friends too. He has learned a lot about math, Bible and other interesting topics. He has been challenged to go beyond his normal abilities and expand them.
How is TCS preparing your children for college and beyond?
They’re helping us prepare them with the right Christian values and environment. They’re also teaching good academic skills that will be useful for them.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
This is a great school, very loving and caring towards the kids. They give our kids personal attention and good academic tools to have a good future in society.
