Why did you choose TCS for your children?
Every parent hopes to make the best decision regarding their child’s educational opportunities. As believers, we also felt it was just as crucial for our family to find a school that would uphold our Christian values and reinforces the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, regardless of age.
What do you love most about TCS?
I love our teachers and administrative staff. We greatly appreciate how they love our children and serve the Lord with gladness. We also love how memory verses are incorporated into the weekly lessons. You will be surprised at how much your children can retain and understand. They are excited when the scriptures they learned come up in other studies and sermons outside of school.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Resourceful. TCS has a way of involving everyone for the betterment of the school and students. Whether you are an alumnus, grandparent, or friend/partner of the school, they will incorporate others. If you are willing and available, there is a place and something for everyone to feel included.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
Both of my children entered TCS without knowing anyone. As a parent, you are curious to see how they will adapt to a new environment and peers. The elementary teachers and leaders possess the ability to engage our children, which has helped them adjust and increase their eagerness to learn more. Both my husband and I have seen this eagerness in almost every subject.
How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
As elementary students, they have a ways to go before they genuinely prepare for college. However, TCS encourages them to do their best and focus on learning and mastering their schoolwork. These are skills they will need for the years to come.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
Always trust that God will lead you in the right direction, especially regarding your children. If you are looking for a warm and caring school environment that will uphold the name of Jesus over all things–give TCS a try!
