Why did you choose TCS for your child?
We chose TCS because we wanted a well-rounded Christian education for our children. We wanted them to be challenged academically and to have the opportunity to participate in sports and extracurricular activities. We also wanted a place where they could grow in their faith in an environment where our beliefs in the word of God would be reinforced.
What do you love most about TCS?
I love that TCS is an environment where prayer is a priority. This was evident during our visit on Preview Day where the students and teachers prayed with us. We still experience this now by joining the weekly TCS Partners in Prayer where we as parents pray for the needs of the school, teachers, students, and families. During parent teacher night, the teachers prayed with us regarding our children. The teachers are intentional and care for your children. Even in athletics, the priority is God first, your education second, and then athletics.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
“Godsend” – This encompasses how we feel about TCS. Just when we needed to make a transition, God worked it out so that everything would fall into place so that our children would be able to attend TCS. The community of TCS was so welcoming that we felt a part before they even attended their first day of school. Our children have no problem making friends, enjoy participating in sports and they love their teachers. So far we can see the fruits in our children because they have been challenged academically and we could not be more pleased with the path of success that lies before them.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
As a result of being at TCS, I have seen my children become independent and navigate the campus as if they were in college. They have matured and flourished in the environment because TCS is intentional in helping every child succeed. There are so many opportunities for them to serve. My son who was shy and apprehensive about going to a new school, is now one of the student ambassadors and is proud to represent TCS.
How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
TCS is preparing my children for college by teaching them to be independent and to think analytically. They encourage them to be responsible for their schoolwork and to be their own advocate and voice. With the fast paced advancement of technology in our world today, we can be assured that TCS is giving them the exposure and training they need to be technologically savvy.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
If you are looking for a sound Christian education where your child can feel safe, loved and also succeed at the same time, then TCS is the place to be! God will prepare the way before you and even open doors financially to make it possible for your child or children to attend TCS. Trust God and take a step of faith and make a lifelong investment in your children. “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.
