Why did you choose TCS for your child?
I chose TCS because I wanted to provide a Christian environment that would help shape my children to be all that God intended them to be. I want my children to be confident of who they are, educated and know that they have value and purpose.
What do you love most about TCS?
I love the diversity of the students and staff and how TCS is a community. Teachers and staff know you by name and that there are plenty of opportunities to be engaged!
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Nurturing because teachers and parents come together to raise and impact my children.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
I have a student in elementary school and in middle school. It amazes me how my child in elementary school knows the WORD. Every week Bible verses are memorized, but it is the random moments when my child recalls the verse(s) he has learned that it touches my heart and reminds me that together, TCS and our family, are laying down a firm foundation for my child.
As for my child in middle school, it’s wonderful to see how history, science/math, and the Word come together to show God’s role in humanity. She is encouraged to be the best she can be. Even when challenges or differences arise, she is able to identify them, and we are able to discuss them as a family and even think of ways and solutions to address them. This life and world is challenging and I want my children to be at least aware and prayerfully prepared to face whatever may come their way.
How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
TCS is preparing my child by providing workshops educating the students and parents on financial aid, identifying the strengths and even the weaknesses of your child, knowing if college is right for them or not. I’m even impressed that even if your child is not college bound, other alternatives are offered and discussed in order to enrich your child.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?
I would tell them that it’s an invaluable investment for your child. The teachers are great, and staff is so helpful. It’s a part of the VILLAGE that helps in raising your child!!
