Why did you choose TCS for your child?

Timothy Christian School is a God-sent gift for our children. As concerned parents of three children, the importance of a stable and Christian environment is first and foremost. We wanted our children to have a continuation of values and structure we already provide in our home, and that is what we found. In the past, we tried public school education and Catholic school education. In both instances, the education and classroom interaction with teachers and students in the former were not in line with our values.

What do you love most about TCS?

Moving to TCS was the best decision our family made. The children immediately made friends, which I’m convinced will be life long friends who are also grounded in God’s word. The curriculum is competitive with other programs. Another significant aspect that can’t be overlooked is the TCS is K-12. With three children, the schedules for Elementary, Middle, and High Schools are quite busy but manageable. Aftercare is available for the students, and as a working parent, it is peace of mind that all the children are on one campus. TCS is a blessing to our family in a significant way.

What is one word that best describes the school? Why?

Garden. In a garden, there are a variety of plants (students), veggies, fruit, herbs, etc. All have their purpose and when placed well, have a symbiotic relationship to make it beautiful. The fertilizer and weed control is the discipline and correction from the parents and teachers. The sun and water are the Word of God.

In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?

All three of my children have become more confident and less timid. Because of supportive teachers and encouraging classmates are more expressive and articulate in word and writing exposition. They are challenged to use God’s word in every aspect and to know that God is in all and impacts every aspect of our lives.

How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?

The workload is challenging. The students always have homework. Midterm and final exams create a space to learn study skills. The teachers push the students to critically think deeper and to formulate opinions based on research and facts. From Middle School the students are already typing papers in MLA format and it is carried through to High School. There is emphasis on character building through sports and weekly chapel.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at TCS?

Timothy Christian School is an investment in the education and spiritual growth of your children. The Return on Investment is not only earthly but a legacy of grounding your children in truth.
