This November we welcomed over 160 grandparents to honor them on Grandparents Day. We are so grateful for our parents, teachers and students who helped make the day so special. Our parent volunteers prepared and served a delicious breakfast that was enjoyed by all! Our teachers worked with our students to prepare them to sing songs, recite poems, and share from the heart during our special assembly to shower their grandparents with love. The room was filled with smiles and hugs as students found their grandparents to have their pictures taken together. What a joy to be able to bring two, three and sometimes four generations together.
Some children who dont have grandparents or have grandparents who live too far away, took the opportunity to invite a special person (aunt, uncle, neighbor, Sunday School teacher, etc.) to the event. We were delighted to have them with us.
Continuing a fun tradition, we recognized grandparents that had traveled long distances, those with the most grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as grandparents who are Alumni of Timothy Christian School. It was evident that love for our school, a value of Christian education and love of family filled the room that day. What a beautiful gift from God.
