Verse: Luke 9:23. “Then He (Jesus) said, ‘If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'”
Miss McKay, MS/HS principal, along with all the MS and HS staff, will be encouraging and challenging their students this year to deny themselves and take up their cross daily.
One of the HS summer reading assignments was to read the book, Not A Fan. by Ken Idleman.
Miss McKay explained: “We will be using this book in chapel and discipleship groups throughout the year as we consider our theme Count the Cost from Luke 9:23. This book helps us to take a hard look at our lives to determine if we are truly a follower of Jesus or just a Jesus fan.”
We look forward to seeing our students’ faith and walk with Christ deepen this year.
