Athletics has long been a selling point for many educational institutions. While academics remains the priority, Timothy Christian School believes that athletics captures the attention of the community in a unique way and can be utilized as an important marketing tool. Dr. Jerry Falwell, the founder of Liberty University, said, ‘Youth speak two universal languages: sports and music. Both need to be done well at any school that intends to be excellent.’
The Timothy Christian School Athletic Department recently re-formatted and re-published its department brochure to more accurately reflect life as a Tiger since the school joined the Greater Middlesex Conference in the 2010-11 school year. It is the goal of the athletic department to use athletics to instill Christ-like character in TCS’ student-athletes and represent TCS as a 1st-class institution. The new Athletic Department brochure provides another tool to promote ‘Character & Class’.
