The excitement is growing as faculty prepare to launch Timothy’s STEM Scholars Program in September! The $16,000 grant awarded to us through Project Lead The Way will help to offset the costs of implementing the engineering component of our STEM Scholars program. This grant will enable Timothy Christian to become a registered Project Lead The Way school and pay for the professional development training needed to teach two engineering courses over the next two years.

As part of our inaugural year, Timothy will be offering Engineering Essentials to all of our STEM Scholars. In this course, STEM scholars will experience a multidisciplinary approach to learning concepts foundational to all branches of engineering as they solve challenging real-world problems and explore engineering career opportunities. The following year we will introduce a Principles of Engineering course.

“God continues to demonstrate His faithfulness, this time by providing this grant from Project Lead The Way,” says principal McKay.

In addition to our new engineering track, STEM competitions, field trips and senior internships are being planned. We are excited for all the new things our STEM Scholars will experience this year!
