Offering our students opportunities outside of the daily classroom to learn, grow, and use the gifts and talents God has given them is of great importance to us to Timothy Christian School! After-school clubs and ACSI competitions are two ways we do that!

Elementary Spring Clubs are currently in full swing! These clubs provide our students with not only new learning opportunities, but also the chance to spend time with friends and have fun in a safe place afterschool!

In Spanish club, Ms. Adrian teaches words, numbers, and songs in Spanish that our children are often found singing all the way home! For those who love their American Girl dolls, Miss Rabideau enjoys creating cute crafts for our elementary girls to play with their American Girl dolls. Our art teacher, Mrs. Toussaint, provides an outlet for children who are artistic to create sculptures and other projects in a relaxed setting where they can be themselves.  Mrs. Hubler pushes our students to think outside the box in our computer coding club. Those who love reading are greatly enjoying Mrs. McInerney’s book club as they are reading a favorite classic, Charlotte’s Web.

Students who are especially gifted in the areas of spelling, math and bible memorization were selected to participate in competitions throughout the year. At the ACSI Regional Spelling Bee held on October 14, 2021 at Abundant Life Academy in Nutley, NJ, our fourth grader, Jacob M. won third place in the finals.  On March 10, 2022, eight of our elementary students attended the ACSI regional Bible contest. Joselyn D. won first place for third grade and our TCS elementary team came in third place overall.

Elementary principal, Mrs. McInerney, and fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Delmanto, hosted our very own math contest on March 31.  27 students from grades 3-5 participated in the competition. Our 1st place winners were: Raphael A, Kyrillos A, Jacob M, Sophia C, Eddie Y and Chloe X. The 2nd place winners were Hannah A, Shayla P, Lulu Z and Meira S. The 3rd place winners were Lucas D, Daniel S, Lauren A, Lyric S, Micah M, Marian N and Madison L.

“I am so very proud of all of our students who worked hard using the gifts and talents God has given them in all these competitions!” Mrs. McInerney
