To apply, parents should submit the application forms, available by contacting the school office, along with the application fee. When these forms and the most recent standardized test scores and grades have been received, an interview with the Director of Admissions may be arranged. Since the school works as a partner with the home, entire families are interviewed. Parents are asked to read and be in agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and sign a contract indicating compliance with this and all other standards of the school. Parents are free to inquire about the school without obligation.
To be considered for enrollment, full-day kindergarten students must be 5 years old prior to October 1. First grade students must be 6 years old prior to October 1 or have previous kindergarten experience. Grade placement for students in grades 1-12 is determined by previous academic performance and standardized test scores.
The school feels that parents who are committed to Christian education will want it for all of their children. For this reason, all eligible children in a family are required to be enrolled. Exceptions may be granted by the Board under special circumstances.
Timothy Christian School is an Equal Opportunity Educational Institution and does not discriminate in admissions, administration or programs on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex or handicap.
Families are invited to visit the school to meet and talk with administrators. Visitation is easily arranged by contacting the school office.
Enrollment:
For new families wishing to enroll their child in Kindergarten or 1st Grade, a developmental screening tool known as the Gesell Developmental Observation is utilized to properly place students.
