National Merit Scholar Awards
Timothy Christian School’s Class of 2010 and 2011 each included four students who received letters of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program for outstanding performance on the preliminary SAT, which is the qualifying test for a National Merit Scholarship.

Above the level of commendation for the National Merit Scholarship Program, students can be selected as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. From there, they are involved in a highly competitive evaluation process to select the National Merit Scholarship Award-Winning Finalists. The National Merit Scholarship Program starts with about 1.5 million students per year and is paired down to about only 8,000 students in the entire country who are award winning finalists. A student of the Class of 2010 at TCS was a National Merit Scholarship Award Winning Finalist.

The class of 2011 has four National Merit Scholar finalists.

We are proud that the intellectual accomplishments of these fine men and women are matched by their fervor for the Lord.
