Nick DiMare, class of 2014, was one of 15 prestigious alumni who was invited to speak at our biennial Alumni Career Day this February. After graduating from TCS, Nick received his business management degree from Brookdale Community College and then began his career working for Rise Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization. In his role as Community Engagement Manager for the entire NJ/NY Metro Area, Nick has had the privilege of speaking in front of thousands of people around the globe, getting them excited about ending hunger. He has established and stewarded relationships with small local churches, school, and civic clubs, as well as many Fortune 500 Companies to further the mission. He has traveled and seen firsthand, the impact that his work has made on the lives of the people he serves. “I’m proud to be part of something that is bigger than myself, something that has a bigger purpose. My career allows me to engage with volunteers locally, to make a lasting impact globally,” says Nick.
Nick’s passion for helping and serving those less fortunate than himself began during his senior class mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Nick recalls, “That was the first time that I got to experience what true poverty was, and as a whole it opened my heart, eyes, and mind to the work that needs to be done, to support those who are less fortunate than I am.”
Not only did his experience at TCS have a great impact on his career choice, but it also impacted his personal life. Though they did not date while at Timothy, in 2018, Nick married Melissa Dueker, a fellow classmate. Melissa currently works as the Child Sponsorship Director for Love Never Fails International. Together they are enjoying raising their new dog, Teddy, working, and serving the Lord.

What did you love most about TCS?
The thing I loved the most about TCS was that the faculty and staff truly cared about the students, and had the desire to invest in our lives. This was something that I took for granted while attending TCS and didn’t really appreciate it, until I was in college.
Favorite memory of TCS?
Our senior class trip to the Dominican Republic.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Nurturing. The dedication that the faculty and staff have for their students.
How are faith and learning integrated at TCS?
Faith is integrated in everything TCS does. From the teachers to the staff, faith is everywhere.
