Why did you choose TCS for your child?
We wanted our kids enrolled in a school where Christian principles are taught and valued.
What do you love most about TCS?
We love the support, encouragement, guidance, correction and love that the teachers shower on our children. When a child is having a hard time, the teachers or staff pray with them. We experienced this first-hand during our first year in the school and it made such an impact on our daughter’s adjustment to her new school. The support and encouragement that she received that year, helped her to mature and grow not just academically but also spiritually. A lot of the teachers are alumni, and they teach from the heart. Teaching becomes their ministry as they shape the minds and hearts of our children to know their purpose in life.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Christ-centered. Everything that’s happening in the school centers around Christ, you can see the love of God emanate from all the teachers and the staff.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at TCS?
We were blessed to have our children in TCS during the COVID-19 crisis. In a time when we expected both of our children to regress due to remote learning, we saw them thrive instead, not only academically but also spiritually. TCS constantly reminded our children to look to God and trust God even during uncertain times which was very encouraging. We truly felt we have a partnership with the school which helped the children adjust during this challenging season. The support we received from the teachers and staff and gestures, such as beginning every activity in prayer, receiving multiple post cards, receiving phone calls from teachers and staff just to check in on our family, are heartening. The different activities that TCS provided to get the children constantly engaged in learning such as the nightly bedtime stories are all memories that we will cherish, moving forward.
How is TCS preparing your child for college and beyond?
With the support from the school, our children’s spiritual lives are nourished daily and their minds challenged with the academic curriculum. We are confident that our children will have a strong foundation to stand on as they continue with their academic journey.
